At 8:45 folks began trickling into the, now familiar, ADC (Anabaptist Discipleship Center) building for the second day of rehearsal. Some folks were wide awake, filled with ample coffee and excitedly giving hugs and greetings, and others stumbled in a little drowsy around the edges. 🙂
The morning began with a time of prayer. Prayer for strength of voice, hearts of worship, and swift memorization. The morning flew quickly by as songs were sung, mistakes laughed at, and repetition made. Lunch was served at Truth and Grace Mennonite Church by a hostess who doubled as a barista. Espresso drinks and cheesecake were enjoyed by most.
Afternoon practice concluded with a dress rehearsal and eager anticipation of the start of the tour tomorrow. Grilled pizza and fresh fruit were thoroughly enjoyed at supper, with laughter, chatter, and more snacking closing out the lazy evening around the Schrock campfire.
Fun Fact: 14 of the 16 ensemble members have attended Elnora Bible Institute.
