Amanda Diener is from Elnora, IN, and is enjoying small town life there with her husband Tom.

She currently works a part time job as a pilot car driver escorting oversize mini (or not so mini) barns for a local trucking company.

She first discovered her love for singing choral music after being a part of the EBI choir singing under Lyle Stutzman. It was through EBI that she got in contact with Tehillah and has since enjoyed singing with them for the last few years.

Karen Martin currently lives in the mountains of PA, in the rolling countryside by the small town of Roxbury. When not on the road, she works full-time as a secretary. She realized her love for singing choral music through the EBI choir, which she sang with for the six terms she attended. Karen enjoys drawing, painting, and art in general, many forms of music, and experiencing new cultures and languages.

Mariah Byler is twenty-one years old and currently resides in Holmes County, Ohio. Ever since she can remember, she has loved music, but her love for choral music developed in high school when she sang in an ensemble under the direction of Franklin Miller.

Aside from singing, she enjoys traveling, reading, playing the violin, ukulele, and guitar, nature, experimenting with culinary delights, and creating and drinking inordinate amounts of coffee.

Rachel Horst lives in the beautiful hills of rural Pennsylvania. A few of her favorite things are spending time with family and friends, reading books, having good conversations, and tending her “jungle” of houseplants.

She works at Heralds of Hope and stays involved in outreach to public school students. She desires to pursue Truth, Goodness, and Beauty in gratitude to Jesus Christ.

Rachel is grateful to be part of the Tehillah Ensemble. She also enjoys singing with the Mercersburg Area Community Chorus and Cantate Domino Ensemble.

From the small town of Dalton, Ohio, Jessica Wenger is a lover of music: choral and otherwise. She was given a love of music by her parents who exposed her to various styles, and further developed that interest through piano and voice lessons, singing in many choirs, and a variety of other musical activities. The opportunity to sing with Tehillah has been a stretching but rich experience for her, both musically and spiritually. Jess finds it interesting that Christianity is unique as a “singing” religion – the good news of Christ for us gives the true reason for singing!

Ruth Schrock lives in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and credits her parents for fueling her passion for singing and good music. When she isn’t working as an administrative assistant and editor, she enjoys spending time with friends and good books.

Sabrina Miller comes from Canton, Ohio where she lives with her family during the summer. Over the past three years, she has studied at Sattler College where she is planning to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in human biology. Meeting people’s physical and medical needs is something she gets excited about.

Additionally, Sabrina loves to be in the sun, eat yummy pastries, sit around a campfire, and has a goal to go rock climbing one day. Sabrina’s love of music was fostered both through her family who loves to sing and a private school that valued acapella music. She is excited about the opportunity that Tehillah Ensemble has given her to sing with a choir again.

Tiffani Miller comes from the small city of Canton, OH whose biggest claim to fame is that it houses the pro football hall of fame. Traveling, reading, music, kids, people, flowers, church, and The Mysterious Benedict Society series are only a handful of her favorite things.

Her love for music began at a young age when her dad made a poster of the scale and solfege. She remembers many evenings when she and her siblings would stand in a line and take turns practicing the scale. Her love for chorale music grew a lot more in high school where she sang with the ensemble for four years under the direction of Franklin Miller. For her, music is a way she can reach others and also worship God.

Daniel Layman lives with his family just outside the small town of Cumberland, Virginia. (If you don’t know where that is, that’s alright. Nobody else does either.) Besides music, his hobbies include fishing, reading, sports, and just hanging out with family and friends. Ever since he was little, he has loved to sing and he hopes to use what musical abilities he has for God’s glory and not his own.

Dan Miller has loved music – and singing in particular – for as long as he can remember. Some of his early childhood memories include playing LP records (which may give an indication of his age) at volume levels quite a bit above “normal,” and singing along with them at the top of his lungs. His volume levels have hopefully moderated a bit since then, although perhaps not as much as some would like.

Dan has studied music at Shenandoah Christian Music Camp, Vincennes University, and Indiana University. He has sung in and conducted various choirs and ensembles, including the Oasis Chorale, Tapestry Chamber Singers, SCMC Chamber Choir, Daviess County Community Choir, and more weddings than he can remember. He has been the music instructor and choir director at Elnora Bible Institute since 2019. Dan serves as the artistic director for Tehillah and is excited about what God has in store for the group.

Dan’s favorite pastime is spending quality time with his best friend and wife Rosella, and their two sons, Trevor, and Garrett. On fine evenings you may find them exploring the small town of Elnora, where they reside.

Jonathon Mullet lives in the mountains just outside the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. He currently works as a salesman for a small metal roofing and siding company. Playing sports is always a highlight for him, along with interacting in social events of just about any type.

Growing up in a musical family, he has always had a passion for music of many kinds. From the time he was a young child to when he was 13, his family went around giving programs at little churches. Ever since then, he has plugged into music in different ways such as school, church, and various choirs. He is excited to sing in the Tehillah Ensemble and use his talents for the Lord’s glory.

Seth Yoder lives near the small town of Killbuck, Ohio. For as long as he can remember, singing has been a staple of life. Both sides of his family enjoy singing together, and he’s sung in several choirs over the years. His day job, working for Plain Values Magazine, has allowed him to “dabble” in graphic design, audio recording, and marketing. He considers Photoshop to be an extension of his physical body. When he’s not working, he can be found hanging out with friends and family, playing Spikeball, or making music at home!

Seth has seen God’s transforming and freeing power over addiction in his own life, and he desires to glorify Jesus with the resources that have been given to him.

Bass

Corey Miller and his wife Juliana, along with their son Winston and daughters Grace and Eleanor, hail from Sarasota, FL/Arthur, IL (a story for another time). While he has enjoyed singing since a young age, it was participating in the inaugural True Voice Men’s Choir in 2019 that inspired him to make music and singing a more active passion. Since then he has enjoyed singing with a variety of choirs and ensembles.

Beyond music, he has a significant interest in technology, particularly computer science. He also enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his family.

Dave Gingerich lives with his wonderful wife, Alice, in Hartville, Ohio, and is currently self-employed as an “itinerant maintenance technician,” otherwise known as a handyman.

Dave has had a love of singing for as long as he can remember, even playing “choir” with his siblings at a very young age. Because of musical contacts and many friends, God has opened numerous opportunities for making music; sometimes singing, and sometimes directing various groups. Dave’s desire is that God will be glorified and people will be drawn closer to God in all his singing!

Julian Stoltzfus lives in Elnora, IN with his lovely wife Ruthie and their sons Corin and Bennett. While he has always enjoyed music, his love for choral singing developed while he was a student at Elnora Bible Institute. He is continually amazed at the beauty of music and the beauty of the God who gave music to us.

Julian stays busy writing for and editing the Sword and Trumpet monthly publication, recording the Theological Touchpoints podcast, teaching and preaching at Truth and Grace Mennonite Church, keeping up with the various opportunities of his business, and loving on his family.

Trenton Miller is a 19-year-old from the very small town of Wetmore, Colorado, and is currently employed as a delivery driver for a storage company. Outside of work, he fills his time with hobbies such as playing volleyball, playing the piano, singing, and hanging out with friends.

Music has always been a part of his life growing up as he was given piano lessons and the family often sang together in their home and occasionally for others. His love for singing was really discovered and developed during his time as a student at Elnora Bible Institute. The beauty and complexity of music is a constant source of joy and amazement to him, and it is his goal to use his voice to draw the attention of others to God.
