Highlights from my (Maria’s) day:
- Taking a walk down a quiet country road in Peru, Indiana, before we left to meet the bus!
- Sharing the night at our lovely host’s place with Mariah Byler. We laughed and figured out solutions to a few of our life’s problems.
- Driving six hours during the day – I was grateful for the time to settle in and play Rook and nap for a bit.
- Visiting the World’s Largest Truck Stop. 🙂
Tehillah Appreciates EBI Loaning Their Bus to Us*
- Singing in a concert within a circle of friends at Sharon Bethel Amish Mennonite Church in Kalona, Iowa.
- Hanging out around the table after the program with snacks
- Acting loopy because we needed sleep 🙂
- Remembering something mentioned in devotions on the bus yesterday: bring glory to God is our ultimate goal. Other goals come second.
Within our group, we bring different stages of life, circumstances, and viewpoints. Planning this tour and making sure everything runs smoothly causes stress at times – thank you for those serving this way! With little ones on tour, loss of sleep has resulted. Thank you moms and dads on tour for making it work!
I asked a couple other people how their day was yesterday. One person said hectic, but enjoyable. Another was thankful for how the concert went – thankful that God had answered prayers about it. One person said, “I don’t know…it was just a day, you know?”
And so it was. Thanks for reading!
Fun Fact: On this tour, the ensemble is accompanied by 5 spouses, 3 babies, and 1 toddler.

*Tehillah is not officially connected with EBI . . . this fact seems to be consistently unclear to some people.
