Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel with an ensemble but not be part of the singing group? Let me give you a glimpse into a day in the life of a Tehillah member’s spouse.
Day four of the tour started by waking to feed my baby, collect our loose belongings into our luggage, and eat breakfast with our host family. We then left to meet the bus for a day of travel to Hutchinson, Kansas. Bus life usually consists of leisurely activities while my baby naps or spends time with her aunt/uncles or other baby-loving ensemble members. The pack ‘n’ plays, glider rocker, and changing mat in the back of the bus is a set-up that we mothers are highly grateful for.
Upon arriving at our destination, the nursery is often the first place I scout out. And in case you’re wondering, sitting in the same program each evening has not gotten old.
We moms have been immensely blessed by the help of Jana, a former ensemble member who came along on tour to specifically lend a hand with the children. Thanks, Jana!
While I honestly miss being a singing member, I consider it a privilege to travel with this group of friends.
