Today we returned to the Bloomfield First Baptist Church, our recording venue, for day two of recording. After a meaningful devotional from Psalm 16 by Daniel Layman, a time of prayer, and vocal warmups by Dan Miller we proceeded.

Some of our re-takes were caused by a tree chipper up the street, stomach growls, an involuntary whistle on breath intake, restroom fan noise, etc. But with great patience and a sweet, merciful group spirit we put down our final three songs and redid two from day one.

At one point during the day, some kazoos mysteriously appeared and at the end four gentlemen (three young and one old) regaled the ladies with a barbershop rendition of “Goodnight Ladies.”

Our lunch of chicken/bacon/shrimp tacos with multiple sides was provided in the local park by Arlene Rhodes and the Howie & Ruth Mast family assisted by Tony & Rose Yoder and Brock Lehman. We are so cared for!!

In the evening we went to the Daviess County fair grounds in uniform for a very efficient and professional photo shoot with Janice Wittmer. We ended the day with many of us visiting around the campfire at the Keith & Coryna Bucher residence. What a memorable and rewarding day! May God be praised!
