Tour Day 1 & 2 | August 18-19

This past Sunday we headed to Plain View Gospel Fellowship in Guys Mills, Pennsylvania. Halfway through, we stopped at a beautiful, quiet park for a sack lunch and a small church service. Even some of God’s nature seemed to enjoy our singing as a snake was found lying on top of a bush near our gazebo. No one, including the snake, was harmed by the snake’s teasing. After the amens were said, the snake teased, and restrooms used, everyone gathered back on the bus for the last trek to Guys Mills. Overall, it was a restful day filled with worship, warm hospitality, and Sunday afternoon naps. We won’t let a travel day interrupt our typical Sunday events. 🙂

After being refreshed and fed by the warm hospitality from Plainview, the bus hit the road around 9 on Monday morning to head towards Crystal Valley Mennonite Church in New York. Soon a game of boggle was begun and only interrupted by rest or lunch stops. You could count on at least a minute of sweet silence every couple of minutes while they furiously searched for words. Eventually, we made it to Crystal Valley where we were greeted by a cloudy and misty afternoon. After rests, warmups, and food, our third concert was underway. And the mist was still misting. The next morning, our host took us a more scenic route back to the bus. We passed a few of many beautiful New York vineyards and lakes. Soon the bus was on its way to Orrstown, PA, and a noisy game of Spot-It was started. The winner is still to be determined.
