Hi, this is Mariah and Maria Byler. We are not related. We write this blog post feeling deeply incompetent to make it interesting, so if you feel a siesta moving in, do comply.
We rode long and hard yesterday. Joe, our beloved bus driver, led us through misty mountains from Plain City, OH, towards Bird-in-Hand, PA. Perhaps grumpiness set in, perhaps we made a few too many snarky comments (we speak of our own weaknesses), however, we dismounted relatively intact. Thank you Weavertown Amish Mennonite for the delectable supper and gracious hospitality!
What did our day include? A quick stop at Wendy’s with Dave and Jesse. Dave said they named the burgers after him. Our lunch time needed to be brief, so down the hatch went our lunch. Maria joined an inordinately loud game of Uno with Amanda, Marie, and Tasha; Mariah settled in for her daily nap. Knowing we lacked warm-up time at the church, we also blew bubbles and screeched at high decibels to test our vocal agility.
Lethargy and low brain function may have crept into our concert last night. Our prayer time before the concert reminded us that we need Christ. Friendly faces and friends smiling from the audience warmed our hearts. In case someone is still reading, Thank You. You may now resume your regularly scheduled life. Let your light shine.
The End.
