Saturday–the second day of Tehillah practice, a struggle between knowing the songs better and our steadily wearying voices! The rainy, gloomy weather outside did not hinder our spirits, as the rehearsal weekend is always a party and a half.

After prayer time and warmups, we started working on one of our more difficult songs. Due to some miscommunication, a significant number of members had printed incorrect copies of the sheet music. So, there was quite a bit of learning while we were practicing.

As the day progressed, lunch arrived and was served by a former Tehillah member, Mariah Coblentz, and her husband. Much fellowship is always had, especially over meals, and that adds to how much of a blessing this weekend always is. With full bellies, we went back to singing, going through our whole repertoire, and getting our standing arrangements down pat (we hope! :D) for our program the following morning.

That evening, we all went to a friend’s house for supper where much was discussed, including the shape of lakes (very intriguing, I know). Tehillah conversations can always take the most random of turns, especially when involving Corey ;). While they sometimes include wildly off-topic bunny trails, they also include uplifting conversations that make the tiring weekend quite inspiring for the singers. After the meal, we all left to sleep and prepare ourselves for the upcoming program in the morning.
