Tour 2025 | Day 1

For anyone crazy enough to read our blog, welcome back to another touring season of the Tehillah Ensemble! We anticipate the 10 days ahead to be a sensory experience: seeing old friends and making new ones, eating copious snacks and great meals along the road, possibly violent rounds of Spot-it and Boggle on the bus, and reading stories to the kiddos as we travel—not to mention making some beautiful sounds together on stage. We won’t talk about smells. We’ll just hope for the best. 🙂

Our first rehearsal day included running through most of our repertoire in the charming old Methodist Church in Elnora, IN. As we’ve practiced individually over the summer, spanning 1,500 miles, it’s wonderful to come together and hear all the other parts singing too! Please pray that we would have hearts of worship for our King amidst practice, tour, and our upcoming recording session.

Thanks to Jevon and Rose Schrock for providing snacks to fortify our rehearsals over the weekend! Juanita Schrock (Ruth’s mom) prepared a delightful spread for lunch, and Julian and Ruthie Stoltzfus (former members) hosted us for supper and the evening, where hours were spent discussing magnetic fields, weddings (what NOT to do), and watching 27-year-old Natasha play with toys on the floor. I’d say our 10 days are off to a good start! 🙂
