Thanks to our hosts in Kansas who provided lodging and meals for TWO days!
Thursday morning, we plodded back into the bus for a day of travel to Grand Lake Mennonite Church in Oklahoma. Norrell Lee stopped us for lunch at a small diner in southern Kansas, The Kitchen Table. The day blurred by amid games, stories, and snacking, and we arrived with ample time to rehearse for the evening’s concert.
We were graced with the guys practicing a Happy Birthday barbershop tag on repeat to surprise our dear Dave, who turned 35. 😉
After the service at Grand Lake, dessert, coffee, and soft serve ice cream were served to the whole crowd! The ensemble members enjoyed the chance to chat and fellowship. We learned that some people had driven over an hour to come and listen! We pray that each audience member was blessed and encouraged.
Please pray for us as we prepare to record on Saturday. With a number of ensemble members either sick or vocally spent, we need the grace for several more days of singing!
